A rare Saxbo vase, shape 155 by Danish ceramicist Eva Stæhr Nielson. A dip/streaked mocha glaze. Excellent condition, no chips or scratches. Makers mark clear on base.

Eva Stæhr-Nielsen’s style was innovative using rustic materials and shiny glazes. She became world famous for feminine, robust and functionalist craftsmanship. Her works are characterised by organic shapes.  Eva Stæhr-Nielsen’s collaborated with Saxbo for many years to create iconic works including her Spaltekanden jug and Teapot, which were relaunched in 2018 by Spring Copenhagen.
